Jarshire Limited has announced that it has been appointed sole agent in the UK and Ireland for the range of non-expanding carbon fibre rollers manufactured by the Italian company Reglass HT Srl.

35-years’ experience of advanced composite materials has enabled Reglass to achieve global recognition, and the company’s rollers are to be found in converting, paper, tissue mill and flexographic printing applications throughout the world.  

Of lighter weight and lower inertia, carbon fibre rollers allow quicker starting times, faster web speed, improved precision on load cells, and improvement of aerodynamic flow. The need for electronic drives and controls is also eliminated.

The Reglass range is comprehensive and includes idler rollers; air mandrels, also known as cliché rollers; dancing rollers; and free rotating rollers. The company also specialises in enhancing the performance of carbon fibre rollers by the application of special coatings appropriate to the material being processed. Jarshire Director, David Jobson, commented that the Reglass carbon fibre range dovetails extremely well with Jarshire’s existing products – “furthering our objective of being the premier source of equipment for the converting, paper, tissue paper and printing industries”.
