Looking towards Packtech | packaging gazette, packtech,

This year’s Packtech event will take place on February 29th and March 1st 2012, at the Birmingham NEC. The event will showcase the latest packaging machinery, printing systems and converting technology.

The annual Packtech show is considered a good source for packaging engineers, buyers, and production and operations managers to seek out packaging solutions.

This year's program list includes: 50 learnShops™, addressing the latest issues and trends within the industry; The BIG Packaging Debate; and Lions’ Lair – in which six exhibitors will pitch their latest products live to a panel.

Among the companies exhibiting at this year’s show is Linear motion specialist, HepcoMotion® (Stand D16). The company will be demonstrating a range of reliable components, sub-assemblies and turnkey systems for easy integration into the automated production environment. In particular, it will focus on driven systems and continuous and circular motion.

Atwell Self Adhesive Labellers (Stand F13) is another featured exhitor at this year’s event. The company will be adding to its expanding range with a new next generation High Speed Linerless Labelling Heads. The Linerless machines feature environmental, cost and product efficiency benefits, and a compact design.

Advanced Dynamics Ltd (Stand F4) will be showing its newly launched low cost range of versatile labelling equipment. Aimed at a variety of price competitive sectors, including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, homewares and food and drink, the label applicators can be bespoke or integrated into a line for a variety of container sizes, cartons and bottle shapes, whether glass or plastic.

Conveyors (Stand E2) return to Packtech this year with its all plastic 90 degree radius swan neck belt conveyor, produced in FDA approved high molecular weight polyethylene (HMWPE), suitable for food contact applications.

Abco Kovex (Stand G4) has opened its UK site and will be displaying their full range of Veeboard edge and corner protection. The Veeboard range is primarily paper based edge protection products, but also includes plastic injection-moulded strap protectors, corners & buckles. These products will be exhibited alongside Stratos 11.4mu stretch film.
