The latest machine from the Redpack team is an HTS-BM Horizontal top seal flow wrapping machine with a box motion end crimp to provide what the company believes to be an air tight high integrity end crimp seal. Products such as sausages, meats, fresh produce, etc. require packaging films that either keep inert gasses in and oxygen out  (gas flushed) or allow controlled ingress/egress of gases through film micro perforations. In either case it is essential to ensure that the intended modified atmosphere of the pack is maintained and that where the packaging materials are sealed the seal is such that gases cannot permeate them. It is also important for fresh meats to retain any liquids within the pack, which again necessitates a high integrity seal. Although the speed capability of the HTS-BM is application dependant up to 200packs/minute this latest Redpack machine build will soon be wrapping sausages at the 50packs/minute optimum speed requested by their customer.
