The latest award reflects growing recognition of the ingenuity, effectiveness and green credentials which make Woolcool® such an impressive insulated packaging product. Professional packaging designer, Angela Morris, conceived and developed Woolcool® using British sheep’s wool which is available in abundance, completely biodegradable and nature’s original ‘smart fibre’ for insulation applications. From food products to pharmaceuticals, Woolcool® is an incredible versatile insulated packaging that has been proven to keep chilled contents consistently cooler for longer than polystyrene and polyethylene, maintaining temperatures below 5°c for at least 24 hours. Beating submissions from companies large and small in diverse manufacturing sectors, Woolcool® packaging won the award ahead of Samsung Electronics UK and the textiles company, Hainsworth.
